September, 2009 RCG Principal Leon Roomberg has accepted an expanded role at ALC. While still leading the Information System Groups responsible for direct marketing systems development, operations, and support, Leon now also leads the DataCentrix Service Bureau Unit of ALC. In the months to come, ALC & ALC/DataCentrix customers will benefit from an increasingly database-focused set of data processing tools and online analytical capabilities. The breadth and depth of services should improve as should processing response times. Customer will also benefit as ITG and Data Centrix staffs are cross-trained and work together in the development of newer products. Commenting on the changes, Leon observed, "We have gathered the critical mass of highly skilled individuals necessary to give our clients tools that increase their profitability while controlling customer acquisition costs. These tools translate our vision into a series of services that cut the cost and times involved in developing marketing insights and converting those insights into customer acquisition actions." "Our mission is to build on the values and competencies of other industry leaders who have devoted their careers to defining our goals and the metrics used to judge our progress toward those goals. Inside the company, Donn Rappaport, Susan Rappaport, Peter DeRosa, Britt Vatne, Mary Anne Buoncristiano, Lori Magill Cook, Laurie Cole, and Fran Green have all contributed to meetings that resulted in refining our vision." "Outside of the company, I am thankful to those that mentored my experiences in this industry. They provided me with a toolset that is visionary, practical, and ethical. I take the words and stories told to me by industry leaders like Bill Korn, Lou Krassen, Gary Kinzel, and Beryl Wolk, and repeat them endlessly to the team to help inspire and guide us." The new tools should be released in stages over 2010. |

The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County partnership |
Over the summer, we considered our various options. This month, we met with officials from the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County (BGCCC). While we still need to confirm and work out many details, we currently plan to shop, cook, and prepare meals for 200 people on Monday night, December 10th. [Note to volunteers, the original November date was pushed out a month due to scheduling issues.] We will transport those meals to the BGCCC on Tuesday, December 11th. That evening, the GBCCC staff will serve 200 families as a "test" of our relationship. Assumming all works out, we are planning on scheduling six such events a year. Before we look to involve other synagogues and churches, we will progress slowly for the rest of this school year to be sure this relationship is working for everyone. For questions about the relationship, please contact:

Leon Roomberg elected to the WRA Board of Trustees |
After serving in various volunteer capacities over the last six years, September saw Leon Roomberg elected to the Board of Trustees of the Woodcrest Recreation Association (WRA). Of the thirteen not-for-profit swim, athletic, and social clubs in Cherry Hill, the WRA is the largest, with almost 2,000 members. The WRA offers swim, dive, and tennis lessons. Athletic teams for children include the WRA's 100 member swim & dive team. Teen and adult leagues include two volley ball teams, basketball team, and competitive tennis. Social events are held throughout the summer, and the WRA boasts the most open pool time of any South Jersey club. The tennis courts are open all-year long. The WRA is the best place to combine fun, health, and safety all summer long. Special pricing for joining off-season is now available. To consider joining the WRA, please pick the phone right now and call Leon at 609.238.4625. WRA information can be found online at woodcrestswimclub.org. |
