About Leavenhouse Hospitality

Leavenhouse provides hospitality to those in need, including feeding programs and permanent housing for homeless people in a rooming house setting. Leavenhouse believes that every human being has a right to basic needs, including an adequate diet, decent housing, and work that pays a living wage.

Leavenhouse serves a hot meal everyday except Friday and the first seven days of the month. On weekends, the meal is served from 3:30 to 5:00 P.M. and is open to all who come. Monday through Thursday, the meal is served from 7 A.M. until 8:30 A.M. and is available to people who are members of the Leavenhouse cooperative. Anyone can become a member of the cooperative and receive a meal ticket good for all weekdays in the month by working a few hours, or by making a five dollar donation. Everyone is welcome to join the co-op or to eat at Leavenhouse on weekends regardless of race, color, creed, age, sex, national origin or sexual preference.
