RCG 6.first: Oy vey what a week!
Seven days since the last newsletter and I when I sat down to write this, I started with eighteen topics. Where to begin? Meetings were held with almost a dozen existing and prospective clients at Beryl’s World, while RCG team members kept working away on six RCG-specific projects. Jim Larsson’s Knutek team took the time to make sure the graphics, copy, and links for their first e-campaign are exactly what are required.
Here are the four topics covered in the remaining paragraphs:
RCG 6.second: The USS
Razorback
|
|
|
The submarine, USS RAZORBACK (SS-394), began serving our country during World War II. Her history includes contributions at Midway, Guam, and at the surrender of Japan. Her various crews served right through the Vietnam War. In 1970, she was transferred to the Turkish navy, her new name being Murat Reis. For another 31 years she faithfully served in the Turkish Navy, finally being decommissioned late in 1991. Today, multiple organizations are raising funds to transfer the Razorback to Arkansas where she will serve as a museum, just as the battleship, USS New Jersey, was recently returned home to her own home state. (A brief history of the USS RAZORBACK (SS-394) can be found at http://www.subnet.com/fleet/ss394.htm). Last week, Beryl's World was visited by Paragon Media executives Jim Harris and George Burrell, who are producing a documentary on the Razorback and raising funds for her preservation. Together, we developed an outline of a comprehensive multi-channel marketing effort to meet their goals. RCG now has the task of adding the details and developing the formal marketing plan in the coming weeks. We look forward to directing our efforts to preserve this piece of our nation's history.

RCG 6.third: Gettoner.com
At Beryl’s World and RCG, we are on a constant lookout for ways our ventures can lower their overhead. As our incentives are based on each venture’s profitability, we need to maximize sales while driving down costs. Dominic Taglialatella and Anthony Lauro of Gettoner.com visited Beryl’s World this week on the day our HP LaserJet required a new cartridge. Our regular cost for a replacement cartridge was $169. Staples.com offered a generic alternative for $139. The Gettoner.com alternative was $77. As we performed our due diligence, we found similar savings as I priced cartridges for six different printers, copiers, and fax machines. As a result, Beryl’s World is now developing a venture to market Gettoner.com products across the country and around the world. In this economy, no business should pay more than necessary for any commodity. Check them out and do your bottom line a favor.
RCG 6.fourth: FloraSpa
In the last issue of RCG-6, I explained how we are now marketing products for Knutek, the country’s premium provider of health, beauty, and fitness products through salons. We have signed, and are now developing the execution plan to market the product line of FloraSpa, the exclusive developer of skin and body care products for the nation’s leading day spas and resorts. FloraSpa is now in the process of gaining the rights necessary for Beryl’sWorld to market visits to certain spas who are FloraSpa customers. Gift certificates anyone?
RCG 6.last: Next?
I wanted to take some time to explain BSP rewards (www.bsprewards.com), OddCast (www.oddcast.com), Casino killers (www.casinokillers.com), The Foot Free Pillow, Johnny Bragg, and the next great thing in professional wrestling. Maybe next week.
The Roomberg Consulting Group is always looking for partners to invest their time or financial resources in the success of their ventures. If you are interested, don’t delay the call.
Please feel free to call or email and please stay in touch.
