The Philadelphia / Southern New Jersey metropolitan area offers tremendous assets in terms of k-12 schools (in the suburbs), world-class universities, medical resources, cultural assets, and ethnic, racial, and religious diversity.  While housing & living costs are slightly higher than the national average, so are wages and benefits   The largest employers include universities, hospitals, pharmaceutical and high-tech companies, as well as defence contractors.  New Jersey boasts the highest percentage of working adults with advanced degrees in medicine, engineering, and the sciences in the nation.

This page includes links to the most commonly used job boards and employer's web pages for job postings.  A sad fact is that no one site is used or even looked at by most employers.  In addition, many employers only use their own internal web sites.  As a result, you will need to market yourself in many places to be exposed to a cross-section of local employers.

BROWSER CAUTION:  Some of these sites are not 100% compaitible with the Firefox Browser and some are just buggy.  For example, many reports have been received about people spending time filling out extensive applications at the Towers Perrin site only to see their system display errors when finally submitting their applications.  The best you can do in these cases is use Micrsoft's Internet Explorer and hope for the best.
