 After graduating from high school I worked in offices in Philadelphia, Radnor & Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, as well as short-term jobs in Arkansas, Texas and Georgia.

   Kim Edgar Taylor and I married in 1962. He was in the Army at the time, having graduated from high school in Arkansas, then coming to Philadelphia to study trombone at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. We have had no children and no dull moments in almost 44 years.

   I received a Master of Science degree from West Texas State University and taught speech therapy in Amarillo Public Schools for thirty years before retiring in 2001. I am a member of the Lutheran Church, the American Association of University Women, a Retired Teachers Organization, the Texas Archeological Society, and the National Antique Truck Club. I continue to volunteer, as I have previously at church, school, nursing homes, museum, and a state park visitors center.

   Things that I enjoy include “dawgs,” reading, cooking, house repairs, walking, swimming, sleeping, classical music, bagpipes, poetry, humor. I wish my memory were better. Pray for peace.
