   My parents moved to Aldan from Drexel Hill when I was in 3rd grade. Carol Loranger lived three houses away. I walked to school with her every day through elementary school and junior high. We rode the bus together to Lansdowne-Aldan high school—sometimes choosing to walk home. Carol and I even took piano lessons together in Clifton Heights. And ironically, her son is employed today at the same environmental company in the same department as I am.

   Upon graduation from Lansdowne-Aldan, I attended Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, DE, through a scholarship I received at our graduation ceremony. After graduating from Goldey Beacom, I worked at duPont in Newark, DE. I left there and worked at The Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia and then the Internal Revenue Service in Center City.

   I married my high school sweetheart, John Mickey, who was from Springfield, in 1958. We moved to Glenolden and then on to Newtown Square, to Orlando, FL, and ended up in West Chester, PA. We have five children (two sons and three daughters)...and nine beautiful grandchildren ranging in age from four years to 22 years old.

   After 25 years as a stay-at-home Mom raising our children, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I returned to the workplace in 1986 to add some income for our children's college educations. I am still working at the same company in West Chester (20 years later) as an Administrative Assistant.

   My life has been one of adventure, thrills, and love. Looking forward to seeing everyone and reminiscing. Laughter will surely be in the air.
