Ben Werntz
Ben Werntz and his wife Diane (Gray) reside in Marmora, NJ, from May through mid-November and then spend the winter months in Port Charlotte, Florida. They have three children:
- Daughter, Donna Demski (Morton, PA/Husband Ted and two children)
- Daughter, Katie Mitchell (Sicklerville, NJ/Husband Chris and two children)
- Son, Ben (Cape May Courthouse, NJ/Wife Bonny and three children)
Ben worked for Food Fair/Pantry Pride for 23 years in management. He opened a farmers’-market-type operation in Ridley Township, PA for 3 years. He then worked for Super Valu, Inc. based in Eden, MN, and served as the middle-east region Retail Meat Specialist for 18 years until his retirement in 2000.
He currently works as a Pool Manager from May through August and is an avid fisherman. He also served as President of the Ocean City Fishing Club (located at 14th Street and the Boardwalk) for a number of years. Ben still enjoys playing softball in the “Over 60” league in Sarasota County, Florida.
