- We are now adding non-biography pictures to the Yahoo companion
site. Please call Ollie Grodon or Allen Gordon for help in accessing
that page. (You will need to be set up and given a Yahoo email
ID and Yahoo password for that site. Until then, use the
temporary login of "lansdownealdan@yahoo.com" with
a password of "reunion" without the quotation marks.)
- A repeated note from an earlier post: We are open
to creating a book from this web site. The book would
include all biographies and related photos, and likely run between
100 and 200 pages. We should have a price for the book in the
next month. You can then order if interested in keeping
a permanent paper record of your memories.

The 50th Reunion of the Lansdowne-Aldan
graduating Class of 1956 is coming. You have sent
in your RSVP, but we are looking for your BIO and a
current picture. I encourage you to submit a biography
for the Reunion web site (www.lansdownealdan.com). Having
this web site will allow us to get up-to-date with everyone
before the reunion. Our conversations at the reunion
dinner will be a lot less awkward when we have so much
background information to work with.
It takes some time to decide what
you want to write that would cover a period of 50 years,
but it is not as hard as you would think. After
I wrote my first draft, I did need a period of time
before I was ready to edit and put it into final form.
In fact, I let it sit in my computer twice before I
was happy with what I wrote. Then, I sent it to
Shirley Muller Pruette for her feedback. You might
want to go to the website and read some of the BIOs
that have already been submitted to get some inspiration.
I am here to provide feedback
for you and I will not submit any BIO to Allen for uploading
until you are satisfied with the results. You
will be able to change the website version of your BIO
at any time you want. I hope that you will send
me your BIO soon.

I take this time to emphasize
the importance that Ruth Hanna Hood has played in coordinating
the data (BIOs) before they are sent to me and encourage
you to use her exclusively for this purpose (see her
policy comments above). Through her efforts (again
see above), she has been instrumental in the success
of the development of this site.

In addition to Ruth's message
above regarding BIOs and PICs, the following is also
requested: On the "Lords and Ladies" page
there are several historical and contemporary PICs that
have received positive feedback to me.
In addition to your BIO
and PIC info, I take this moment to encourage all to
send me additional such historical and contemporary
such PICs, as demonstrated currently on "Lords
and Ladies" page, for placement on the site in
any one of the following pages: "Lords and Ladies",
"Lansdowne", "Aldan", "East
Lansdowne", or "other".
Lets have some fun and add
some real good stuff, either serious or humorous, which
will add to the value of the site for us all. Remember
that this site will be around after the reunion, and
let us know of your interest about a booklet, as advertised
on the "Products" page.
Regarding these PICs, send
either a hardcopy PIC to me by "snail mail" (USPS),
or scan it and send it to me electronically at allenegordon@statecollege.com.
NOTE: when scanning be sure to save the PIC as a "JPEG".
You can also use a mechanism
for this that Waverly has used that is quite effective
-- it was used for Ginny Johonson's memoriam. It
